The 4D Method
Diagnose. Design. Deploy. Deliver.
The whole method, in the open.
Most AI projects fail at adoption, not technology. The 4D Method exists to de-risk exactly that: every phase has a defined output, a measurable exit, and a place where you can stop. Here it is in full — including the parts most vendors keep vague.
Diagnose
Week 1–2We sit inside your process — not a slide deck about it. We map who touches what, time each step, and put a rupee figure on the leak. The output is a baseline: the number every later claim will be measured against. If the numbers say AI won't pay here, the engagement can end here, and you keep the diagnosis.
Design
Week 2–3Future process first, technology second. We design the workflow your team should run, define where human judgment is mandatory, and only then select the smallest technology that delivers it. Every decision point gets an owner. Data flows are documented before a single integration is built.
Deploy
Week 3–4 (typically < 14 days to live)A bounded pilot on one process or role family — deliberately small enough to govern, real enough to measure. Your team is trained in plain language on their actual workflow. Nothing replaces a human decision; the system drafts, ranks, and routes while named people approve.
Deliver
Week 5+Results measured against the Phase-1 baseline and reported with methodology attached — the same way we publish our own product metrics. What worked scales to the next process. What didn't gets said out loud. ROI is a report you can hand to finance, not a slide we made.
Governance & trust
The part procurement reads twice.
Responsible AI isn't a page of adjectives. It's structural decisions you can inspect. These six are non-negotiable in every Hab implementation.
Human oversight, structurally
AI recommends; named humans decide. Every override is recorded. We refuse to build silent auto-rejection into any system, including our own products.
Auditability by default
Every AI-assisted decision carries its evidence: what was scored, why, by which version of which criteria. If you can't explain it to a regulator, we didn't finish the job.
DPDP-aware data handling
Documented data flows, purpose limitation, and retention rules designed against India's DPDP Act — and explained in language your legal team can review quickly.
Bias-aware evaluation
Identical criteria applied identically to every case is the structural antidote to mood-of-the-day decisions. We measure consistency, not just speed.
Published methodology
Our own figures — 12,400+ resumes/quarter, 94% shortlist accuracy — ship with the measurement method. Client reporting follows the same standard.
What we refuse to build
Fully-automated rejection of people. Surveillance dressed as productivity. Automation of a process we haven't diagnosed. Saying no is part of the service.
Questions
Asked by boards, answered plainly.
Why a pilot instead of a full rollout?
Because trust should be earned on evidence, not promised in proposals. A bounded pilot gives you a measured result in weeks, limits your risk, and gives both sides a real basis to decide about scale. Enterprise buyers consistently tell us this is why they chose us.
Who is accountable if the AI gets something wrong?
A named human — always. Systems are designed so every consequential decision has a human owner, and Hab's founder stays personally accountable for the engagement. 'The algorithm did it' is not an acceptable sentence in our deployments.
How do you measure ROI honestly?
The baseline is measured before anything is built (Phase 1), the pilot is measured against that same baseline, and the methodology is written down where your finance team can challenge it. If a number can't survive that scrutiny, we don't claim it.
Can our IT and legal teams review the architecture?
Yes — and we'd prefer they do. Data-flow documentation, integration architecture, and oversight design are standard deliverables, produced for exactly that review.
Run the 4D Method on one process.
Start with the diagnosis. If the numbers say AI won't pay, you'll know that too — and you'll keep the analysis either way.
